Summer Drama Camps
The dates of the 2011 Summer Drama Camps have been set: June 20 -24 and August 1- 5. Register by calling The Merc at 997-7529. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration.
Drama camps are offered to kids ages 8 – 18 years old and focus on performance, with kids working on acting, singing and dancing. Kids also have the chance to build and design set pieces and costumes. The camps were held from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day Monday through Friday, culminating in a final performance on Friday afternoon. Cost is $200 per child. Partial scholarships are available.

Technical Training for Youth
Acting is only one part of participating in live theater! The Merc Playhouse also offers training to youths interested in running sound and lights for live performance.

Children's Theater
The Merc Playhouse offers kids the chance to experience the joy, teamwork and discipline of being part of a cast in our Children's Theater shows. Past productions include The Hobbit, The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Little Prince, and Fabulous Fables and Terrific Tales. Children have also featured prominently in our productions of The Innocents and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
